Have you ever come across a piece of work that truly left you in awe? When you think of artists, perhaps names like Van Gogh, Da Vinci, or Monet come to mind. But art isn’t just confined to galleries—it’s all around us, like time itself.

Everyone has a different relationship with time, though most might find it intimidating. Time slips away when we’re not looking, and before we know it, everything around us has changed. Our latest lighting piece is inspired by this concept. It's called "Running Against Time."

This piece took us two months to complete and is truly a labor of love. It’s titled Running Against Time and is meant to express how every one of us is racing against time, whether we are parents, children, employees, or business owners.

As children, we race against time, trying to keep up with our parents’ aging, hoping to repay their love and care before it’s too late. As parents, we hurry to earn more money and time, fearing we’ll miss out on our children’s growth, losing precious moments with them. As working individuals, we strive to escape the nine-to-five grind, rushing to achieve success and rise above the rest. Perhaps, no matter how hard we run, it feels like we can never outrun time. But when you look back, you’ll see how your youthful layers have gradually faded away, and the golden light of success is beginning to shine through you. We’re all trying to outrun time, striving to achieve certain milestones within limited timeframes so that we can spend more moments with our families, children, loved ones, and even find freedom for ourselves.

At the starting point, there's a vintage flip clock that vividly displays the passage of time. It’s not just a clock—it’s an alarm too! (Though the alarm sound is a charming ring of an old-fashioned telephone).

The mountains in the background symbolize the world—though we may feel we are running alone in this vast world, we are never truly alone. The light shining on the mountain could be trees, or perhaps starlight, but no matter what it is, there’s always a light guiding our path.

In this artwork, we’ve placed four running men, but they’re not meant to represent four different people. Instead, they symbolize the same person going through the journey of life and evolving along the way. You’ll notice that the color of these figures gradually changes, starting from worn black clothing and eventually transforming into golden statues.
